there was a turtle living in a little pond
he dreamed of the ocean his whole life long
he went to the doctor to see what could be done
he took some salt water tablets to help with his transition

he met his seahorse girlfriend on the internet
all he wanted to do was swim with her neck and neck
so he went to the doctor to see what could be done
he took some salt water tablets to help with his transition

he promised to Seahorse that she was the only one
all he wanted to do was swim with her in the ocean

he was a nervous turtle hiding in his shell
he'd lived in this pond his whole life, it wasn't hard to tell
he went to the doctor to see what she would say
she said you gotta leave this place, it is the only way

he asked his seahorse girlfriend if she would visit first
with the promise he would one day someday visit her
so she went to the pharmacy to get supplies to bring along
she boarded the first ferry headed for the turtle pond

he promised to the seahorse that she was the only one
all he wanted to do was swim with her in the ocean

Turtle and Seahorse were together at last
they kissed at the drive in movie on the lily pad
their tails entwined together as they dreamed of a new life
he would be her turtle groom and she his seahorse bride

after seven days Seahorse returned to the sea
and Turtle said he'd meet her when his transition was complete
he swam around his turtle pond but couldnt get the nerve
Turtle never left his pond and lost his seahorse love
